Regular vs. Deep Cleaning: Which One Does Your Home Need?

Regular cleaning and deep cleaning get used interchangeably, but they're built for different jobs. Regular cleaning maintains a home that's already in good shape. Deep cleaning resets a home that has slowly fallen behind.

A regular clean covers what gets dirty every week: kitchen counters and the sink, stovetop and appliance fronts, toilets, tubs, and showers, mirrors, dusting of reachable surfaces, and vacuuming and mopping every floor. It's fast because the buildup never gets a chance to settle in.

A deep clean goes after what builds up over months: baseboards and door frames, cabinet fronts and handles, grout and soap scum, the inside of the microwave and oven, ceiling fans and vents, and the floor behind the stove and fridge. It takes longer, and it's the reason a home suddenly feels new again.

A simple rule of thumb: if it's been more than a couple of months since anyone cleaned the baseboards, or you're starting service with a new cleaner, begin with a deep clean. After that, regular visits every week or two keep it that way, usually for less time and money per visit than trying to catch up later.
